Mr President, over the last 10 months, the European Parliament has adopted a total of three resolutions on religious freedom in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Tendo em conta esse facto, a União Europeia deve dar passos específicos que contribuam para aumentar o respeito pela letra da lei e pela democracia na República Islâmica do Paquistão. In view of this, the European Union must take specific steps which will help to increase respect for the letter of the law and democracy in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
